Hive Management
Can I become a beekeeper?
Do you want to be a beekeeper but perhaps it seems a bit daunting? What type of hive should I get? How do I set it up? Where should I put it on my property? Where do I get bees? What do I need to do in order to maintain the hive and ensure the health of the hive? Are honey bees dangerous? And timing is a key factor when keeping bees, so when do I do all these things? So many questions, it might seem overwhelming. You could get a book, but that can only take you so far. Youtube is great, but you'd still be on your own when it came time to actually getting your hands dirty. Your local beekeepers club is a great resource in most cases, and you might be lucky enough to find a good mentor, but there are no guarantees, and their time is on a volunteer basis.
Where Do I Start?
Eco Bee Supply can help. We'll do as much as you require, from providing guidance and recommendations, to installing the hive and bees, and even as far as performing all maintenance, treatments, and extracting honey. Keeping bees won't demand all of your free time, but its somewhere between having an aquarium and a pet dog. Timing is critical with bees, there are a handful of things you need to do, but when you do them is a key factor. Whether you just need a jump start and some training as you learn to be a self-sufficient beekeeper, or if you want some hives on your property but don't want to maintain them yourself, Eco Bee Supply will put together a custom program to meet your specific requirements.
